Thank you Trini you have captured beautifully how my husband and I feel. Christmas is about spiritual things and exchanges of love not commercial exchanges and it is about sharing with the whole of humanity not simply family. It is such a special time and it is so sad that is sometimes lost in the rush to “Get everything just right for the day” Hope lots of folk read your thoughts read you post and simply chill and let the TRUE Spirit of Christmas speak to them. Blessings to you this Christmas and thank you so much for all you have shared this past year my life has been greatly enriched by your posts. Namaste Brita

Into the Quiet
Yet again I am reminded that it is when you stop searching with the mind and allow the heart to flow that YOU FIND PEACE.
Advent Prayer for Faith
Christmas should be a happy time but for so many it is not. Loneliness, stress, family and financial difficulties shadow or totally cloud out the joy yet by simply getting back in touch with it’s true spirit we give ourselves the greatest gift of all, the gift of “LOVE”. Christmas came about in the first place to show us that God or the Creator (some people use different names) who knows us even better than we know ourselves loves us still despite all our failings. He loved us enough to send us a unique gift, the first Christmas gift ever given. It was a teacher to show us how to live life not just better but more fully and in greater joy. He wanted us to be happy and live a joyful life of giving, sharing and serving each other in joy and harmony. Jesus was all about loving one another and also ourselves. My prayer is that this beautiful gift will light up your Christmas with love, gratefulness and joy. Thank you Trini your lovely prayer will help so many of us. Christmas Blessings to you and thanks so much for all your wonderful uplifting sharing.
Serenity
No matter how often I am reminded to return to the source and centre myself it never seems to be often enough so thank you for this timely reminder. Today I was again busy “doing important things” when this popped into my emails and thankfully reminded me of what is the most important thing in my life, staying centred.
A long weekend here in Ireland, so a chance to refresh and nourish ourselves, taking a step back to notice compulsive running, outside and inside our minds. Meditation practice is more about settling back into something that is already present, rather than a need to “achieve” a goal, even a “good” or “calm” goal. Often this desire to achieve is based on a perfect image of ourselves and just fuels an underlying feeling that we are lacking in a fundamental way, needing to be supported and held up.
Empty your mind of all thoughts.Let your heart be at peace.
Watch the turmoil of beings, but contemplate their return.
Each separate being in the universe returns to the common source.
Returning to the source is serenity.

Loving all, what does that mean?
Again the guiding thoughts of the lovely soul, Trini, showers us all with the beautiful light of her insight into love, compassion and walking a path of true meaning.
Your Infinite Soul
What a wonderful reminder! Thank you Trini. Enjoy your wonderful journey. Namaste Brita
Where we place the mind
Awareness pays wonderful dividends as does choosing happiness. If you would like to read an inspiring book written by someone who made this choice successfully I would recommend “Educating Alice ” by Alice Greenup. HarperCollins Publishers. HarperCollins.com.au
People never remember happiness with the care that they lavish on
preserving every detail of their suffering
Edward St Aubyn, English Author.
Whatever one keeps pursuing with their thinking and pondering,
that becomes the inclination of their awareness.

Seeking Light
Such love so freely given and never withdrawn from us no matter how we mess up. How lucky we are.
The importance of feeling loved
May you always feel loved and may all sentient beings also feel that they too are truly loved! Change the world one person at a time by making time to make sure others in your life feel loved. Make eye contact when talking to them, yes ignore the screen, hug, smile, talk and share, hold hands, smile be truly present for them and yourself!
Meditation for Beginners
It is great and really refreshing to get ideas on how others meditate I found these along with some posts that really resonated with me on this site. This lady has a lot of beautiful and very helpful ideas to and visiting her site is always enlightening.
“I get those fleeting, beautiful moments of inner peace and stillness – and then the other 23 hours and 45 minutes of the day, I’m a human trying to make it through in this world” Ellen DeGeneres
If I could point to one single thing that has been my greatest guide, teacher, healer and solace in the past few years it would be developing a meditation practice. For quite some time I had read about the benefits of meditation to overall physical and mental health and would think to myself “gosh I should really learn how to do that.” Somehow it seemed like it must be really difficult. Shouldn’t I have a guru? And sitting in that lotus position for more than 3 minutes made me dead from the waist down, legs completely asleep.
But then life happened and things got pretty intense. I had struggled with minor anxiety for many…
